It’s important to Lueda and Alexis to make a difference in the lives of others in the work they do. This social impact is what guides them in their work and reminds them that they’re a part of a global community of humans — all of whom are seeking love, connection and happiness.

“One in every 250 girls and women have been trafficked for sex in our world today.” - Apne Aap website

Apne Aap helps the “Last Girls” — those who have been trafficked — regain control of the outcome of their lives. By enrolling girls in their network, they support these last girls in gaining the following ten assets over a period of three to five years:

  1. Safe Space

  2. Education

  3. Self-confidence

  4. Political power

  5. Government authorized IDs

  6. Government subsidies like low-cost food, housing, health care and loans

  7. Legal support to file police complaints and testify in court

  8. Savings and bank accounts

  9. Livelihood linkages like vocational training, markets and jobs

  10. Nine friends or membership of a self-empowerment group

Sex trafficking happens every day in communities around the world…

including your own.
